The managers of the European open data portal, operated by the European Commission, have just published the results of their 2017 analysis on the progress of European Union countries in the area of open data.
Luxembourg obtained an excellent result
The Grand-Duchy’s score put it in 6th place, allowing it to be among the European trendsetters in this area from now on. Many factors were taken into account in this assessment, in particular the existence of coordination at national level, the application of the principle of awarding licences, the many different themes of the data sets published as well as their quality, the transposition of the related European directives and the implementation of a national strategy.
